Rabbit Bandini Productions and Rubicon Entertainment are partnering for the film, and the script is being written by Matt Rager. Franco, his Rabbit Bandini partner Vince Jolivette, and Rubicon's Doug McKay, Robert Kaplan, Marc Senter and Nathan Grubbs will produce.

Drunken Fireworks is a dark comedy that chronicles the arms race between two neighbors over their Fourth Of July fireworks display. The competition becomes increasingly antagonistic as blue collar worker Alden McCausland (Franco) tries to defeat his retired mob boss neighbor.
