Jason Wingreen, voice of Boba Fett from 'Star Wars,' dead at 95

Jason Wingreen, who voiced infamous Star Wars bounty hunter Boba Fett, has died at the age of 95. The actor died on Christmas day in his home in Los Angeles.

Wingreen's role in Star Wars, while short–he only recorded four lines for The Empire Strikes Back–became a fan-loved component of the franchise. Although the actor also auditioned for the role of Yoda, his minor role as Boba Fett turned into a dynamic character in the subsequent prequels.

Wingreen was a regular character in television show The Untouchables from 1960-1961. He held a number of one-off roles in Star TrekThe Twilight Zone, and Seinfeld. He was also a long-running guest character on All In The Family as bartender Harry Snowden.

His son confirmed his death to the Hollywood Reporter
