Back in the days of Myspace, Star pretty much ruled the scene. By 2006 he was the most-followed person on the platform, using it to help promote his music career.

Star even performed on the Vans Warped Tour back in 2008 and 2009. Need a refresher? Check out a throwback of him doing a remix of “Boom Boom Pow” on the tour below.

He released his first and only studio album, Beauty Killer, in 2009 which included the track “Lollipop Luxury” featuring Nicki Minaj. The album peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart, and hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

By 2010 he had signed to Akon with plans to release a second album titled Concealer. Unfortunately, the album was never released and in 2013 Star left the music industry, although the circumstances for his departure were unclear.

Shifting focus from music to makeup, Star launched Jeffree Star Cosmetics, reinventing himself into the makeup icon most know him as today.

Music has been on the backburner ever since for Star, but it looks like he may soon be revisiting his musical roots.

Star took to Twitter to tease the possibility of new music, and fans lost their minds.

“I may or may not have recently been working on a new song feat. an A-list artist…
Hi, how are ya?”

Fans immediately began guessing who this possible A-lister could be, with a lot of fans speculating that a Nicki Minaj anniversary track could be in the works.
