Jordan Peele reboot of 'The Twilight Zone' gets season 2 renewal

Us and Get Out director Jordan Peele spearheaded a reboot of the 1959-1964 TV series The Twilight Zone bringing in incredible actors and actresses for the re-imagined sci-fi series.

It looks like the revival has impressed both audiences and CBS alike as the show has secured a second season!

CBS All Access announced The Twilight Zone has been given the green light for season 2, and we couldn’t be more excited to see Peele continue to bring this show to life.

“Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg’s re-imagining of The Twilight Zone is off to an amazing start on CBS All Access, driving the most viewers on its premiere day for an original series to date,” Julie McNamara, EVP Original Content at CBS All Access, tells Deadline. “Jordan, Simon, the creative team and cast have done a phenomenal job translating the series’ legacy of socially conscious storytelling for modern-day audiences. They are master storytellers, and we look forward to bringing fans further into The Twilight Zone with a second season.”

The series features Peele as the show’s host and narrator alongside an incredible cast featuring Ike Barinholtz, Zazie Beetz, John Cho, Lucinda Dryzek, Taissa Farmiga, James Frain, Betty Gabriel, Ginnifer Goodwin, Zabryna Guevara, Percy Hynes-White, Greg Kinnear, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Chris O’Dowd, Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jefferson White, Jonathan Whitesell, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise and Steven Yeun.

“Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours,” Peele previously told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of The Twilight Zone.”

The first season of The Twilight Zone is available on-demand at CBS All Access. Currently you can watch the first five episodes, with new ones dropping every Thursday.
