Jordan Peele reveals 'Us' cameo you probably missed

Jordan Peele’s Us has arrived in theaters to truly terrify us, and the director has revealed that he made a very sneaky cameo in the film that you probably missed.

It’s not the first time Peele has put himself in his films, he told Fandango in an interview.

During the interview, Peele was asked if he’s ever considered making cameos in his movies. He told the interviewer that he actually has in both Get Out and Us.

In his directorial debut Get Out, he was the voice of the deer that got hit by a car by Daniel Kaluuya’s character.

In Us. he’s a dying rabbit that comes face-to-face with Lupita N’yongo’s character in an intense scene. We don’t want to give away any spoilers, but if you’ve seen the film, you will remember.

Even though Peele’s cameos didn’t involve him appearing on screen, it’s definitely a creative way to feature himself in the movie. Whenever his next film comes out, we’ll have to keep our ears open to hear if any dying animals sound like the Oscar-nominated director.

Watch Peele’s first interview below and hear him re-enact these subtle cameos around the three-minute mark.

Us has been widely successful in the box office, nearly breaking the record for best preview night for a horror film. However, 2018’s Halloween barely beat it out by $300,000.

The film surpassed preview nights of The Nun ($5.4 million) and A Quiet Place ($4.3 million). Outside of the horror realm, Us even beat out the preview nights for major Marvel films such as Thor: Dark World ($7.1 million) and Ant-Man ($6.4 million).

Before it’s debut, the Peele snagged a second, and very rare by the way, 100 percent rating with the film on Rotten Tomatoes after his first with Get Out.

Us stars Nyong’o (Black Panther), Duke (Black Panther), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Tim Heidecker (Ant-Man And The Wasp). The film later announced additional cast members. Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon and Duke Nicholson (Jack Nicholson’s grandson) are also in the cast.
