‘Us’ unleashes creepy doppelgänger in unsettling poster

The buzz behind Jordan Peele’s next horror venture Us is strong, and we can definitely see why as more content is released. Following the first trailer on Christmas and the latest teaser on Super Bowl Sunday, the Get Out writer/director just keeps creeping us out more and more.

Now, Peele is unleashing more content from the film in the form of a new poster featuring star Lupita Nyong’o.

Get Out took the cinema world by storm in 2017, snagging the coveted 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Jordan Peele also became the first African-American writer-director to earn an $100 million debut and earned the highest grossing debut project for a writer-director with an original screenplay.

Peele also won an Oscar for Writing (Original Screenplay) at last year’s ceremony, so it’s safe to say his next movie, Us, is highly anticipated.

Us stars Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), Winston Duke (Black Panther), Elisabeth Moss (Mad MenThe Handmaid’s Tale) and Tim Heidecker (Ant-Man And The Wasp). The film later announced additonal cast members, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon and Duke Nicholson (Jack Nicholson’s grandson).

Prior to the first trailer, Entertainment Weekly debuted some behind-the-scenes photos with a better idea of what the film was about:

“The story is set in the present day and follows Adelaide and Gabe Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke) as they take their kids to Adelaide’s old childhood beachside home in Northern California for the summer. After a day at the beach with the Tyler family (which includes Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker), Adelaide—who’s haunted by a lingering trauma from her past—becomes increasingly more paranoid that something bad will happen to her family. As night falls, the Wilsons see four figures holding hands and standing silently at the bottom of their driveway… ”

Now, Peele is taking to Twitter to share more from his upcoming film, simply uploading the new poster without any context. Check it out below.

Following “its selection as the opening title” at the SXSW Film Festival, the release date was pushed back. Us will now open March 22. Check out the first trailer below.
