Juliet Simms snakes through “Bad Love” video, announces signing

Showing off some steamy visuals, Juliet Simms celebrated her new deal with Sumerian Records by dropping a new single, “Bad Love.”

Along with some intense visuals of Simms getting up-close and personal with a snake, the songstress made a statement with the release of her first Sumerian single.

Looking to capture both “vulnerability” and her “power and strength as a woman” through the video, Simms used the snake as a metaphor that’s up to interpretation.

“My story is one of peaks and valleys and through it all, I have remained strong in my resolve to carry on and fight for what I believe in,” Simms explains. “This video to me shows just that. The raw power of passion, pain, love, sorrow & heart.”

Simms saw this track in particular as a powerful beginning for her next chapter, expressing how close the track is to her heart.

“This song means the world to me, for the majority of my career up to this point I have felt as if I have been unable to create freely in the way that I have always wanted to,” Simms says. “Both the single, and really the entirety of my upcoming full-length record, are representative of a reinvention and rebirth for me as a writer, singer and performer and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what I have been working on.”
