'Jurassic World' debuts short film giving insight into the next movie

The iconic Jurassic Park franchise has just received its next chapter in the form of a short film that is nothing short of badass. Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock premiered on FX last night before making its debut online very early this morning.

Battle at Big Rock takes place one year after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, showing us insight on the world after the dinosaurs escaped Isla Nublar.

The short film shows how the world has adjusted after being forced to live alongside dinosaurs. It’s full of comical credit scenes, so make sure you stick around for those!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes the film is cannon. Battle at Big Rock is directed by Colin Trevorrow who has directed previous films in the Jurassic World franchise.

Starring André Holland, Natalie Martinez, Melody Hurd and Pierson Salvador, the story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.

Jurassic World 3 is slated to premiere in June 2021, with rumors circulating that stars from the original Jurassic Park film would be making a return in the next installment.

While this rumor has yet to be confirmed, we’re still keeping our fingers crossed for a comeback from some of our dinosaur-fighting favorites.
