The official number for Jurassic World's opening Friday, combined with Thursday night previews, is a very impressive $82.3 million. Officially, this is actually the third highest Friday box office number of all time, behind Avengers: Age of Ultron's $84 million and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2's $91 million. However, if Thursday night previews are stripped away and only sales from the opening Friday are examined, Jurassic World takes the crown for highest “pure” Friday numbers of all time.

Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt, is in theaters now.
