Justin Yost, formerly of Everyone Dies In Utah, releases solo song

Former Everyone Dies In Utah (Tragic Hero Records) bassist/vocalist Justin Yost has released a solo song titled “31st And 9th.”

The song is from Yost’s newly formed solo project, The Secret Songs Of Us.

Yost is currently running an IndieGoGo campaign to fund the debut album from The Secret Songs Of Us. The target goal for the album is set at $4,500, and a variety of perks are being offered for donations—including an instant download of “31st And 9th” for a $1 donation.

In regards to the album, Yost says:

“I’ve been working on these songs since eighth grade and am beyond excited to get them out. It’s a little different than EDIU; it’s not heavy; there’s no screaming. I’ve kind of thought of it as Mayday Parade meets Angels And Airwaves.”

Yost parted ways with Everyone Dies In Utah back in June. The singer had this to say about his departure:

“I ended up leaving EDIU for a lot of reasons. One of them being: I’m getting married in December to someone wonderful, and I could not tour anymore and be away from home. I really needed to get a job where I’d know I would have plenty of money to take care of her and our new life together—which was a very tough decision, but I’m happy I made it.”
