Kellin Quinn teases possible collab with band that "influenced [him] heavily"

Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn has taken to Instagram to tease us with a possible collab that needs to happen. Quinn revealed the possible collab with post-hardcore band Chasing Victory which he thought was a “joke” at first.

We’re so happy it’s not.

Chasing Victory formed in 2001, releasing their first full-length album I Call This Abandonment in 2005 and their second album Fiends in 2007 before announcing their breakup the same year through their Myspace blog.

Chasing Victory continued to play shows on and off throughout the years, dropping the song “She Haunts Me” on Halloween 2016.

Early last year, the band released a 4-track EP titled Friends, Volume 1.

The band influenced many of our scene favorites today, including Quinn who took to Instagram to tease a possible collab with the post-hardcore band.

“So the craziest thing just happened.. the drummer of one of the bands that influenced me heavily randomly reached out.. I thought it was a joke at first.. but we talked.. and I think we’re going to do a song together and I’m flipping out!”

We need this collab to happen.

More on Kellin Quinn

After some teasing earlier this year, Quinn’s collab with electronic producer YULTRON finally dropped last month.

Quinn and YULTRON wrote “The Bottom” about their shared experiences when it comes to drugs affecting their loved ones. The pair took to social media to announce the song back in January.

“Too many young people dying.. Music and drugs don’t have to mix.. @yultron and I wanted to write a song about it.. Because we both lost friends close to us.. Not trying to tell anyone how to live their life.. Just expressing our feelings when it comes to the issue… #thebottom,” Quinn says in an Instagram post.

You can listen to “The Bottom” below.
