Kevin Lyman offers solution to artists’ festival production issues

Kevin Lyman has given some advice to festival heads when it comes to the production aspect of the events.

Lyman is definitely a great person to give advice on the topic, because as the founder of Warped Tour, he’s learned a thing or two about running a smooth festival.

“There has been a lot of discussion of artist’s production problems at festivals,” Lyman stated in a tweet. “My suggestion is stop trying to one up each other. Keep your production simple, focus on your music and you will have a better chance to shine.”

Ahead of the Warped Tour 25th anniversary shows and in the midst of Coachella, Lyman’s advice couldn’t really come at a better time. Especially when artists like Solange and Kanye West have made headlines for not performing at Coachella due to issues with production.

As previously stated, Warped is gearing up for their special 25th anniversary shows. You can check out all the details of those below, with the newly added artists in bold.

Cleveland Warped Tour

Cleveland’s date will have one stage for a one-day event outside of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. There will also be a mini skate ramp and a special exhibit titled “Forever Warped: 25 Years of Vans Warped Tour.”

The exhibit will begin the same day as the event, June 8. It will contain documents and history from its 1995 inception to its final cross-country run in 2018. There will be instruments from Fall Out Boy, No Doubt, Rancid and Reel Big Fish as well as stage clothing from Joan Jett and Ice-T.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is currently reporting that tickets are sold out for Cleveland. More tickets are planned to be released in the future, and you can sign up here for further information.
