Warped Tour skate contest was once won by 10-year-old Shaun White

Warped Tour had many faces grace not only its stages but skate ramps as well, including professional snowboarder Shaun White.

Kevin Lyman recently unearthed a photo of Olympic medalist when the athlete won the award for Best Amateur Skateboarder in the early years of Warped.

White is known as a professional skateboarder and snowboarder. He holds the most gold medals by a snowboarder in the X-Games as well as the Olympics.

The athlete is also a guitarist in an electric rock band called the Bad Things.

Recently, Kevin Lyman was given the photo of then 10-year-old White when the athlete competed in on the skate ramp.

Was handed this photo by an old friend yesterday who worked for Arnette and traveled on the first few @vanswarpedtour summers! We used to hold this amateur skate contest and look who won @shaunwhite when he was 10 years old!

Shaun White hasn’t responded to Lyman’s post.

More on Warped Tour

Last month, Attila‘s Chris Fronzak said he has a plan to revive Vans Warped Tour and wants to lead the tour but it looks like that’s pretty unlikely now.

The musician answered a fan question on his Instagram story saying he’s had discussions with festival founder Kevin Lyman and “it’s not looking so great unfortunately.”

Fronz started taking questions from fans on his Instagram account and someone asked “Are you really bringing back the vans warped tour.”

The musician replied saying “I’m trying my best. Already had discussions with Kevin. It’s not looking so great unfortunately but I will keep fighting.”
You can check out a screenshot of the interaction here.
