Did Kevin Lyman just tease more Warped Tour shows?—UPDATED

UPDATE: FEB. 22, 10:01 P.M. EST

Kevin Lyman has recently clarified his statement regarding more Warped Tour dates. Earlier, Lyman joked that planning an entire tour was easier than planning three shows.

However, some fans took the joke as an actual possibility of more 25th anniversary shows. Nonetheless, Lyman was quick to shut down every ounce of hope with a clever quip.

Way to go breakin’ our hearts, Kevin.

We’re a few weeks removed from Warped Tour announcing the cities and venues for their 25th anniversary shows. Earlier today, Kevin Lyman teased a possible surprise artist, and now it looks like there could be something else to look forward to if another tweet is any indication.

While we anxiously await the lineup announcement, Lyman has been revealing some of the steps in pulling together the three special shows. However, it looks like it’s more work than the Warped Tour founder anticipated and he’s proposing a solution.

“We were just talking in the office and decided putting 3 @VansWarpedTour shows together is more work than a whole tour.. maybe we should find 39 cities in between these dates and keep going….”

Lyman is more than likely kidding in this situation, but a fan certainly can dream. As mentioned, this isn’t the first thing he’s teased today, taking to Twitter to shared he reconnected with a Warped alum, which follows extending an invitation to a different alum and even Halsey.

“It’s one of those awesome days when you are just about to put the final touches on @VansWarpedTour 25th line-up and in a random conversation you reconnect with someone from tours past and now they may jump in for the party! Hope we can make it work.”

More on the Warped Tour 25th Anniversary shows

While we do not know who will be playing or if any other dates will really be added, we do know the current cities who will be rocking out this summer.

The 25th anniversary shows will be hitting Cleveland, Ohio; Atlantic City, New Jersey and Mountain View, California. The latter two cities will have two dates each, lending to more of a two-day festival vibe while Cleveland will be a more intimate one-day gig.

The festival also recently took to social media to clarify the most commonly asked questions.

What bands are playing?
Each event will have its own lineup! There will be some overlap between the bands playing, but they will be different. Within a single event, the bands will either play Saturday or Sunday, no both.
