Kid Rock turns down Senate run on 'Howard Stern'

Bawitdaba da bang da dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogie said… Kid Rock's not running for Senate. That's right, the Michigan-born “American Bad Ass” isn't actually vying to be a U.S. Senator for his home state—thank all that is holy—as he recently told radio host Howard Stern. Phew!

So, what, the whole thing was just a publicity stunt for an upcoming Kid Rock album or something? The website launch of kidrockforsenate.com? The cringeworthy “campaign” speeches? His backwards beliefs on transgender rights? All that “Kid Rock For U.S. Senate” merch? All of it?!

Yes.

According to The Hill, Kid Rock recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show and told the veteran shock jock that his whole “bid” for Senate was some sort of joke, or ploy, or stunt to support an upcoming album or something. I don't care, to be honest, I'm just glad it's not actually happening.

“Fuck no, I'm not running for Senate. Are you fucking kidding me? Who couldn’t figure that out?” Rock reportedly told Stern. “I’m releasing a new album. I’m going on tour, too. Are you fucking shitting me?”

Remember those pics of Kid Rock in the White House with Donald Trump, Sarah Palin and Ted Nugent? Yeah, let's keep those out of the history books, kids.
