Killswitch Engage frontman taking break from social media, addresses mental health

Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach has announced that he will be taking a break from social media. Leach says the reason for the break is to take care of his mental health.

According to Loudwire, Leach shared that he is going through a divorce in a since-deleted Instagram post.

Leach then addressed his overall mental health in a different post. The Killswitch Engage frontman says that before he can share any more of his personal life on the internet, he needs to get proper help.

“Until we meet again,” Leach says in an Instagram post. “I just need time to get help before I can share anything else with you. Thank you to all of you who actually care and understand.”

“Mental illness is a sickness and pair it with a life tragedy and it’s a force that can level you and break you in ways you never ever imagined,” Leach continues. “I’m getting the help I need starting tomorrow. I won’t be another statistic of suicide!!!!! I’m fighting for my future and I refuse to give up or give in!!!”

In other Killswitch-related news, Leach shared a status update on the progress of the band’s forthcoming album. Leach says that the vocals are finished. However, the album needs a little more “mixing, editing and arranging” before it is complete.

Additionally, the band recently announced a massive co-headlining run, which has been called the Collapse The World tour, with Parkway Drive and After The Burial.
