Tsao, a culinary metalhead in his own right, hosts the web series Taste of Metal. He's also known for his appearances on Beat Bobby Flay and Chopped.

The special pop-up event will benefit Hope For The Day, a “nonprofit movement committed to utilizing music and the arts as a defense mechanism to suicide.”

Tsao will be personally catering the food for the fundraiser, along with cocktails from Black Craft, beer from Six Point Brewery and dessert from Snow Days.

Here's what Tsao says about “Small Bites Of Hope”:

“For too long, mental health has been ignored in the professional kitchens. With Small Bites of Hope, I want to present people in these harsh working environments with the opportunity to get help or give help to others that may need it. It only takes one to start the conversation that can resonate and help many others and this is that first major step for myself along with my friends in Hope for the Day and Jesse Leach!”

The “Small Bites Of Hope” fundraiser occurs on May 18 at 6 p.m. at the Gibson Guitars Showroom in NYC.

Limited tickets for the event are available here.
