‘Kim Possible’ actor reprises role for live-action reboot

News of a live-action update of Kim Possible first arose nearly a year ago. The film is headed to the Disney Channel in less than a month, and now we know of another very familiar cast member joining the film.

Newcomer Sadie Stanley and The Goldbergs star Sean Giambrone will play the roles of the fearless duo of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. However, several original cast members will be returning in one way or another.

In August, Variety reported that two very familiar faces will be coming back for the new live-action remake of Kim Possible: Christy Carlson Romano and Patton Oswalt.

Romano, who you might know as the original voice of Kim Possible, has signed on to make a cameo appearance in the new film. As for Oswalt, who played Professor Dementor in the series, will be reprising the role of Professor Demento for the forthcoming Disney remake.

Now, we know that Nancy Cartwright will be reprising her role as the voice of Rufus, a role she held from 2002 to 2007 in the original Disney series. Cartwright is also known for voicing characters in My Little Pony, The SimpsonsAnimaniacs, Rugrats and more.

Disney shared an image of the live-action Rufus, which you can check out below.

Other cast members have already been revealed, including How I Met Your Mother‘s Alyson Hannigan, who will play brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible (aka. Mom Possible), Connie Ray as Nana Possible, Todd Stashwick as Kim’s arch-nemesis, Dr. Drakken, and Taylor Ortega as Dr. Drakken’s sidekick, Shego.

Kim Possible airs Disney Channel and DisneyNOW Friday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. EST. Check out the trailer below.
