Nu metal legends Korn dropped their phenomenal 13th full-length album The Nothing earlier this year but vocalist Jonathan Davis faced some hardships during recording that affected him.
The musician discusses losing his mother and his wife in the latest docuseries episode about the album.
Davis talks the passing of two of his closest family members and how it impacted the album alongside clips of the band recording the record.
“The whole record is just this grieving process of all of the things I went through” Davis says. “It’s not necessarily textbook how I was grieving like denial and anger and all of this. I went through all kinds of different stuff. I went to a really dark place and I think I brought back something dark with me ever since I lost her.”
