Lacey Sturm speaks out on her decision to leave Flyleaf

In October of 2012, Lacey Sturm stepped down as frontwoman for Christian rock outfit Flyleaf. In an official statement from the vocalist on her departure, she stated, “I am very thankful to have recently become a mom to one of the greatest blessings of my life, my son Jack.” She added, “You may have also heard that we recently lost our brilliant sound engineer, Rich Caldwell, in a devastating car accident. Now, more than ever, I understand the phrase Memento Mori. I understand that, for me, living life to the fullest in this season  means to step down as the lead singer for Flyleaf.”

Now, as Sturm is preparing for the release of her book, The Reason: How I Discovered A Life Worth Living, she has posted a video commentary touching on the reasons behind her departure from the band. You can check out what she had to say below. Be sure to leave us a comment with your thoughts!
