Watch Lights bring her comic book to life in new music video for "Giants"

Lights has debuted the video for “Giants,” the lead single from her upcoming album Skin&Earth. What's even cooler? The video is bringing the album's companion comic book series to life, with Lights stepping into the dystopian world she's created as her protagonist En.

Lights worked on both the album and comic series concurrently, creating a totally immersive world for Skin&Earth, letting the music inspire the comic and vice versa.

“I feel my whole life has lead up to a project like this. It's a complete convergence of everything I love—music, comics, post-apocalyptic romance, crystals, wine and powerful ladies, all perfectly entwined,” Lights explains. “It'll be by far my most care-free and fierce album yet. I think now, more than ever, people need a reason to listen to a whole record, and this is mine.”

And up to this point, Lights has kept fans on their toes, sending them on a journey through her comic world to find the lyrics to the song through a series of Instagram accounts. She's created an in-depth and, quite frankly, impressive map that leads fans into different parts of the Skin&Earth world via Instagram accounts, and with so much to explore, we're sure it'll keep fans busy until the official release!

Skin&Earth will be Lights' fourth studio album, following Little Machines.

The first print issue of the monthly comic book series—Skin&Earth #1—goes sale July 12 via Dynamite Entertainment. Skin&Earth is set for a fall release.
