Lights releases new single featuring Twenty One Pilots' Josh Dun

Lights realized the perfect way to celebrate pre orders going live for Skin&Earth was to release a new song and we definitely don't plan on turning this song off of repeat anytime soon!

Lights worked on both the album and comic series concurrently, creating a totally immersive world for Skin&Earth, letting the music inspire the comic and vice versa.

“I feel my whole life has lead up to a project like this. It's a complete convergence of everything I love—music, comics, post-apocalyptic romance, crystals, wine and powerful ladies, all perfectly entwined,” Lights explains. “It'll be by far my most care-free and fierce album yet. I think now, more than ever, people need a reason to listen to a whole record, and this is mine.”

Check out the perfect song for anyone that's ever been dumped out of nowhere in “Savage” below!

And up to this point, Lights has kept fans on their toes, sending them on a journey through her comic world to find the lyrics to the song through a series of Instagram accounts. She's created an in-depth and, quite frankly, impressive map that leads fans into different parts of the Skin&Earth world via Instagram accounts, and with so much to explore, we're sure it'll keep fans busy until the official release!

Skin&Earth will be Lights' fourth studio album, following Little Machines.

The second print issue of the monthly comic book series—Skin&Earth #2—went on sale this week via Dynamite Entertainment. Skin&Earth is coming out September 22.
