At a Prophets Of Rage gig on Friday, System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian joined the band (guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk—also of Rage Against The Machine) for a sober run-through of Audioslave's hit “Like A Stone.” (via Theprp.com)
The performance took place during the Prophets' set at the Rock Im Park 2017 festival in Nuremberg, Germany.
Audioslave—Cornell and the three RATM/Prophets musicians—were together from 2001 until 2007 and released three albums. They briefly reunited earlier this year, shortly before Cornell's death, for one show at Prophets of Rage's Anti-Inaugural Ball event. “Like A Stone” was the rock supergroup's biggest hit, hitting No. 31 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 2003. Watch the music video for “Like A Stone,” below, after the recent live clip.
Prophets Of Rage just recently announced that their self-titled, debut album will be out on September 15. The band formed last year, and includes rappers Chuck D (Public Enemy), B-Real (Cypress Hill) and turntablist DJ Lord, in addition to Morello, Commerford and Wilk.
