Like Moths To Flames fans can "expect new music soon," says Chris Roetter

While it may have seemed like 2014 was a down year for Like Moths To Flames, there was a lot of activity going on behind the scenes. Now, however, it looks as though they have things figured out and are going into 2015 with their heads held high. In a recent interview with Stheart Clothing, frontman Chris Roetter claimed, among other things, that fans can “expect new music soon.” You can read an excerpt below.

If you missed it, watch Like Moths To Flames check in from Skate & Surf this past summer.

With 2015 already upon us, what are some things you'd like to see from the band this year? What direction are you hoping to see them go on their new album?

The Monster “Outbreak” tour seems to have treated you well, are you looking to get right back on the road in 2015 or are you taking your time on the step for LMTF?

Chris :: Tour has been incredible. After years of hitting the same market it becomes one of those things that begin to feel routine after a while. This run has been the exact opposite of that. I feel like we’ve had a great chance to meet and develop a bit of a new fan base as well as re-establish the fan base we may have lost during our recent down time. It has always been important for us to move forward in small steps. That being said, after this tour we are back to writing and recording. We are planning to record in late February/early March with hopes of getting a new record out during the summer months.

It has been a year & a half since the release of “An Eye For An Eye”, is their talk of new music?

Chris :: Yeah, it’s one of those things where we just want to make sure it’s all in the right time frame. We have some material recorded and are just waiting for the right time to release it. Expect new music soon.
