The protest mentioned is taking place today at the intersection on Santa Monica and La Cienega Boulevard.

So far, protesters have blocked traffic from moving and are laying down or taking a knee in the middle of the intersection.

Los Angeles County deputies are currently on scene but the protest remains peaceful so far.
