The tragic death of Chester Bennington has brought together the music world in both fans and musicians alike. There have been tributes and memorials from around the world, along with countless covers of all our favorite Linkin Park songs.

Now the band is planning a special event in Los Angeles to honor Bennington with a new announcement they've made on Twitter.

In the announcement, the band thanks all the support they've received, which they write “strengthened [their] spirit during this incredibly difficult time” along with writing that they “are so grateful for all of your support as [they] heal and build the future of Linkin Park.”

You can check out the full announcement below.

James Corden recently announced that he would let Bennington's family decide if they would want the Linkin Park episode of Carpool Karaoke to air, telling Associated Press, “we will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled.”

Following the news of Bennington’s death, the band launched a special site dedicated to Chester, sharing memories and additional resources for those struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Bennington has been in Linkin Park since 1999 and was part of the band’s massively successful Hybrid Theory, released in 2000. He has been a part of the band’s seven albums: 2003’s Meteora, 2007’s Minutes To Midnight, 2010’s A Thousand Suns, 2012’s Living Things, 2014’s The Hunting Party and their most recently released, 2017’s One More Light.

Our thoughts are with Bennington's family and friends at this time.
