That stalker, Tabitha Boccarossa, was arrested in 2013 for not only stalking Shinoda—but also his wife. Boccarossa was issued a protective order, which bans her from any contact with the musician. The protective order was violated when Boccarossa sent Shinoda letters from prison.

Since October, Shinoda has been receiving messages via Twitter, which he believes are from Boccarossa. Police are asking Twitter to reveal on data on the user. Boccarossa is reportedly obsessed with Shinoda and thinks she is his wife.
