Linkin Park win at AMAs, dedicate award to Chester Bennington

Linkin Park have taken home the award for Favorite Alternative Rock artist at the 2017 American Music Awards, dedicating the win to Chester Bennington.

In what is considered to be the biggest night in music, Linkin Park have won the fan-voted award of Favorite Alternative Rock artist at the AMAs. Nominees for the Favorite Alternative Rock category included Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots.
Mike Shinoda spoke on behalf of the band, telling fans to “make Chester proud.”
“We want to dedicate this award to him and his family, his talent, his humor, to his joy. And remember you guys, all of you, tonight, whether you're a fan or an artist, I want you guys to take a moment to appreciate what you got, and make Chester proud.”
