Lorde celebrates winter solstice with "Leader Of A New Regime" video
Lorde has shared a brand-new video for her song “Leader of a New Regime.” The track appears on her third studio album, Solar Power, which was released in August.
Lorde announced the brand-new visual in a newsletter to fans on the date of this year’s winter solstice.

“Solstices should always have offerings,” she writes. “So for you, here’s the LEADER OF A NEW REGIME video. Just a couple of bites, a feeling, a perfect midpoint in the SP journey. I hope you like it.”
The visual was directed by frequent Lorde-collaborator Joel Kefali and follows previous video releases from Solar Power such as “Fallen Fruit,” “Mood Ring” and “Solar Power.”
Just as Lorde described it, “Leader of a New Regime” is a bite-sized visual. There are various shots of a beach similar to ones seen in other videos, with Lorde looking out into the water and walking on rocks by the shore.
