Lorna Shore guitarist announces departure after five years with the band

Lorna Shore guitarist Connor Deffley has decided to step down from his position. In posts made by both Lorna Shore and Deffley, the departure seems to come as a thought-out, animosity-free decision.

According to an Instagram post, Deffley says that it has come time to explore other opportunities.

“As of today, I’m officially no longer a part of Lorna Shore,” Deffley says. “It hasn’t been an easy decision, but ultimately I feel that it’s time for me to pursue some other opportunities. The last five years have been an absolute blessing and I couldn’t be more proud of all we accomplished in that time. I want to say thanks to all of the fans and life long friends I have made during my time with LS, but most importantly I want to say thanks to my brothers in the band.”

Additionally, the band took to Instagram to share their thoughts on their guitarist’s decision to leave.

“Without his contributions to the band over the past 5 years, the band would have not been able to accomplish all the beautiful memories we can look back on,” the band say in an Instagram post. “We want you all to wish him well and thank him for being a part of this family for half a decade. Best of luck with all your future endeavors Connor!”

Lorna Shore have not revealed further details of Deffley’s departure. Additionally, they have not announced their plans going forward without the guitarist.

The deathcore band formed in 2010. Deffley has been the band’s guitarist since 2015.

We are wishing the best to Deffley and the rest of Lorna Shore in their future plans.
