Lush teases holiday line, and they’re going all in on waste-free products

Announced at the annual Lush Showcase is the annual holiday line, available online on Oct. 5 and in-store Oct. 15—for everyone who thinks the holidays should be a yearlong affair.

This year’s holiday line is centered around food, including peppermint candy canes, golden pears and gingerbread men. You can smell like your grandma’s kitchen at Christmas thanks to products such as plum pudding luxury bath melt, gingerbread man-scented sparkle powder, golden pear and satsuma soaps as well as caramel-scented bubbles.

A highlight of the holiday line is the Naked Charity Pot hand and body lotion. Ingredients include ethically sourced ylang ylang and rosewood oils in a fair trade organic cocoa butter from Lush’s community agriculture project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In addition, 100 percent of the sales goes to grassroots organizations working to support human rights, animal welfare and environmental conservation across the world. The Charity Pot initiative from Lush has donated an estimated $27 million to more than 1,850 charities in the last 10 years.

As if that wasn’t ethical enough, Lush are also offering a packaging-free naked version of most of their holiday items. Like with most Lush products, the packaging is 100 percent cruelty-free, vegan and self-preserving.

Other highlights include returns of Sleepy and Snow Fairy brands. The Sleepy product is a mixture of lavender and tonka, and is available in a shower cream and lotion. Snow Fairy smells of cotton candy, and is available as a jelly bath bomb, dusting powder, reusable bubble bar, body conditioner, shower gel and body spray.

Another new product? Ro’s Argan Sparkly naked body conditioner is designed to keep your body hydrated, sparkly and smelling of fresh apples, cotton candy or mangos. Yum.

Before this, Lush announced their new Halloween line including eyeball bath bombs and ectoplasm jelly bombs. Like the holiday line, the Halloween line features several naked versions of the products to be more environmentally friendly.

Naked versions of their product include the Naked Ectoplasm shower gel, for when you want to feel like you just walked off the set of the latest Ghostbusters film.

The Halloween line is available now, and the holiday line should be hitting Lush’s website soon.
