Carter, who played the super hero on the original Wonder Woman series revealed she might be appearing in the upcoming film during an interview with NBC.

“That is up to Patty Jenkins. I’ve been talking to her about it,” the actor said, mentioning the director. “She’s given me some hints about it and I guess it’s up to Warner Bros. if they want to spend the money…You can write letters and ask them.”

We'd love to see that happening!

Carter also talked about the importance of Wonder Woman over the years. “I really tried to figure out what it was about that particular character that it has been so enduring. And I think that, with this #MeToo movement, I finally realized that she was able to talk back,” she explained.

“She was able to protect herself, she was able to protect the women around her. And no one could take advantage of that.”

Last month, Kristen Wiig was confirmed as Cheetah in the upcoming Wonder Woman follow-up from DC Entertainment.

The new film is set for release in 2019.
