Machine Gun Kelly crew arrested for alleged 2018 assault on actor G-Rod

Two Machine Gun Kelly crew members have reportedly been arrested following an incident with actor Gabriel ‘G-Rod’ Rodriguez last year.

Brandon “Slim” Allen (engineer/producer) and John “Rook” Cappelletty (drummer) allegedly attacked the actor after he criticized the rapper for calling Eminem’s daughter hot.

On Sept. 15, TMZ reported that MGK’s crew assaulted G-Rod in Atlanta.

According to the reports, Rodriguez walked up to Machine Gun Kelly and his crew at a bar and criticized the rapper for calling Eminem’s daughter hot. Rodriguez also recorded the moment and was reportedly kicked out of the bar a few minutes later.

Later that night, Rodriguez says he was walking to a hotel when he spotted MGK’s crew hanging outside. An argument started, but a police officer stepped in to assess the situation.

However, when Rodriguez went into the hotel lobby, MGK continued throwing insults at him. According to a video he shared, the actor then told Kelly’s bodyguards he’d fight them. It is then that the crew reportedly started assaulting him. Police criminally cleared Machine Gun Kelly as he wasn’t involved in the physical fight.

On Oct. 4, TMZ shared a surveillance video that shows the assault happening. The footage shows MGK’s bodyguards going after Rodriguez, and then three more men from his crew come up and start punching the actor.

Later, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the Atlanta Police Department obtained battery warrants for Brandon “Slim” Allen, John “Rook” Cappelletty and Lamar Reed.

Now, according to TMZ, Allen and Cappelletty were arrested Tuesday by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. They were both charged with misdemeanor battery causing substantial physical harm and later released after each posting $2,000 bond.

More on Machine Gun Kelly

Yesterday, MGK released a trippy new music video for “5:3666” featuring phem.

The video “captures MGK’s psychedelic frame of mind as he rhymes about addiction, paranoia and family trails,” according to a press release.

The video utilizes many visual effects over shots of the rapper smoking and rapping in a tunnel that alternate with clips of models snorting cocaine and sitting in a hall of mirrors. You can see the distorted new video below.

Along with the video drop, Machine Gun Kelly announced his third annual Xxmas Show in Cleveland on December 21. It will take place at the Wolstein Center and tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
