Machine Gun Kelly reveals first 'Hotel Diablo' track's release date

After months of waiting, we are finally getting our first single from the upcoming Machine Gun Kelly album Hotel Diablo this week.

The Cleveland rapper took to Twitter to tell fans that the first single is coming to us this Friday.

His tweet was pretty straightforward, but it was enough to send fans into a frenzy and for them to wish it was Friday already.

In case you forgot how far we’ve come with this record, back in December, MGK announced he scrapped his entire fourth full-length.

In January, he teased what could potentially be new album beats. Then in February, MGK popped up in the studio with Travis Barker, suggesting that the pair were putting something together. Shortly after, clips of the duo and YUNGBLUD were shared.

MGK later revealed Hotel Diablo is going to be “just as honest” as his sophomore full-length General Admission. The first hint of potential new music surfaced as Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson shared a clip of the rapper referencing him.

A few days after that, as previously mentioned MGK broke the news of his new album and an accompanying tour. He also shared another snippet of the same song that producer and friend Slimxx later shared. It could perhaps be the one he pushed to pay respects to late rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Then, the rapper took to Instagram to tell fans that the album was coming soon with a clip of him in the studio. You can check that out below.

So now we only have to wait a few more days for some fresh MGK music, and we are so excited.

More Machine Gun Kelly news

Machine Gun Kelly and his recent portrayal of Tommy Lee in Mötley Crüe’s The Dirt saw the rapper spending well over four months learning Lee’s signature drumstick move. In a story with USA Today, MGK revealed that he sought out the help of his “younger brother” to attain those drumming skills.

Then, MGK took his work behind the kit and used it to honor Hussle in the best way possible.

On March 31 of this year, Hussle passed away following a shooting in Los Angeles near his clothing store.

The day after his passing, MGK took to Twitter to share a few words on Hussle’s influence.

“haven’t slept. im just up thinking about how i could feel the energy drain from everything when Nipsey died yesterday. the air felt different. fuck man. i’ll never forget the journey of watching him go from the mixtape circuit to becoming Grammy nominated. he gave me hope.”

The Cleveland rapper ended up postponing the release of his first single from his forthcoming album in respect for Hussle’s passing.

“We were dropping first song off the album Friday, but out of respect for Nip, we’re gonna stay silent this week,” MGK says in a tweet. “Respect to @carlchery for inspiring that action.”

Now recently, MGK has taken to Instagram to post a tribute to the late rapper with a drum cover snippet of Hussle’s “Right Hand 2 God.”

Check it out below.
