As Machine Gun Kelly began his isolation, he started dropping daily cover videos which eventually expanded into freestyles too.
To date, he’s covered everything from Paramore‘s “Misery Business,” a cover of Nirvana‘s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Juice WRLD‘s “Lucid Dreams” and tons of other songs. He’s also given a cover of Avril Lavigne‘s “Sk8er Boi” and shared full performances of Paramore‘s “Misery Business” with Travis Barker as well as an Oasis cover of their track “Champagne Supernova” with YUNGBLUD.
More recently, he used a Shawn Mendes vocal line as the base for a beat on a new track he wrote that also references Lil Peep.
Now, he’s giving PVRIS some love with his latest song, “In These Walls.” The new track samples PVRIS’ “My House” with Lynn Gunn’s haunting vocal melodies creeping overtop the song.
