Machine Gun Kelly cuts interview short: "Let my music speak"

Machine Gun Kelly cuts a recent interview short with an expletive-laden rant, stopping mid-answer to deliver an earnest-sounding diatribe about letting his music speak for itself. Below, watch the clip shared by MGK on Wednesday.

Doing press at the 2018 Billboard Hot 100 Fest, the hip-hop Renaissance man seemingly goes through the interview motions before reconsidering a reply; he abruptly concludes the chat with a terse rumination on music and celebrity.

“I don’t wanna talk about this,” Kelly says. “I’ve done this so many times, dude, I don’t wanna do an interview, man. I wanna let my music speak for me. I don’t have shit to say. I’ve been saying shit for years, dude. Listen to my fucking songs.”

Perhaps the rapper grew tired of the interview after fielding non-music questions about his bud Pete Davidson (with whom he’s currently filming a movie in Upstate New York) and the SNL cast member’s new fiancée, pop star Ariana Grande.

As the interviewer attempts to assuage MGK, he gets up to leave, but not before offering a message to his fans: “I’m coming. And [a] message to my enemies, I’m coming.” Check out the full interview after Kelly’s Instagram clip.
