See Marilyn Manson, Dennis Quaid perform with Kris Kristofferson for some reason

Marilyn Manson and actor Dennis Quaid joined Kris Kristofferson and other artists stage for a bizarre mashup performance.

Also joined by Shooter Jennings and Tanya Tucker, the group performed a rendition of Kristofferson’s track “Why Me?” a song off of his 1972 album Jesus Was A Capricorn. The performance took place during Kristofferson’s two-set show at the Act Hotel on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Manson sang the lines “But now that I needed you so/ Help me, Jesus/ My soul’s in your hand” which just sounds strange coming out of the Antichrist Superstar singer’s mouth.

Quaid is known for his roles in films such as The Parent Trap, The Day After Tomorrow, Yours, Mine & Ours, and many more. He is in a band Dennis Quaid and The Sharks, so it isn’t his first time dabbling in music. Check it out for yourself below.

Manson posted a photo on Instagram with Kristofferson and referenced the singer’s role in the 1976 version of A Star is Born. Even though this collaboration makes zero to no sense, Manson definitely seemed overjoyed to get a chance to perform with Kristofferson.

Manson recently rang in his 50th birthday with a star-studded bash. Mason had a big party full of guests such as Courtney Love, Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O, Jonathan Davis, Yoshiki and more.

Manson’s been having fun with many of our favorites in the new year. On New Year’s Eve at Ozzfest, he and Rob Zombie belted out the Beatles’ classic “Helter Skelter” with Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. Zombie and Manson had released a studio version of the song last summer, but it was fun to see this trio perform such an iconic track. Check out the video of that below.
