Marilyn Manson will reportedly appear in the Stephen King adaptation of The Stand.  The series is based on the book that was previously adapted back in 1994.

The showrunner James Boone confirmed some of the casting for the new series on Instagram. It’s been revealed that James Marsden will play Stu Redman, Amber Heard will be Nadine Cross, Henry Zaga will play Nick Andros and Odessa Young is Frannie Goldsmith.

Along with those cast members, Manson will have a role, which he recently discussed with RevolverAs part of his role, he will cover The Doors track “The End” for the series.

While it’s unclear who he will be playing, many have their hopes set on the demonic Randall Flagg.

We first learned about the series last year, and a release date has yet to be announced. We’ll have to wait and for more news about the series, but 10 episodes will air on CBS All Access.

More Marilyn Manson news

It’s been over ten years since The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack was released, but Marilyn Manson‘s cover was just certified Gold in the U.S.

Back in 2008, a number of bands including Manson, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and more recorded covers for the movie.

For the soundtrack, Manson gave his haunting take on the classic track “This Is Halloween.”

Gold certifications are offered to artists who manage to sell over 500,000 units which is quite a monumental achievement. The next stop for the song is Platinum certification which requires moving over 1 million units in total.

While it’s strange the spooky Halloween track went gold in the middle of the year, we’re more than happy to see Manson get another award!

In case you haven’t heard the cover yet, check it out in the player below.
