Marilyn Manson drummer Gil Sharone leaves band

Gil Sharone has taken to social media to announce he is leaving his post as Marilyn Manson’s drummer.

Sharone posted a collection of photos and his statement to Facebook earlier today, which you can read below.

“After five amazing years playing drums for [Marilyn Manson], I’ve decided to leave the band. It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects. Much love to [Marilyn Manson] and the homies I shared the stage with; [Twiggy Ramirez], [Tyler Bates], [Paul Wiley], [Juan Alderete] and to the fans. It’s been a blast. #marilynmanson #thepaleemperor #heavenupsidedown”

Sharone has been with Manson since 2013 during the touring cycles of 2015’s The Pale Emperor and 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. He has previously worked with The Dillinger Escape Plan and Puscifer.

Manson recently announced another co-headlining run with Rob Zombie, Twins Of Evil: Hell Never Dies tour, set to kickoff this summer. Tickets are available now here with dates listed below.
