Marilyn Manson, Mariah Carey mashup is perfect for your Christmas mix

Ahhh, mashups. They can come off hopelessly middling or funnier than your worst enemy slipping on winter ice and waiting for paramedics to arrive. We may have found the one to top everything on your holiday playlists. Thank you, Mariah Carey and Marilyn Manson.

Bill McClintock has put together a classic with “All I Want For Christmas Is The Beautiful People.” It’s an inspired melding of Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” with the self-proclaimed “god of fuck” Manson’s 1996 classic, “The Beautiful People.”

Carey’s bubbly classic (which was cited by the fine citizens of the United Kingdom as “the most annoying Christmas song of all time”) gets what’s coming to it when Manson’s treatise on beauty and celebrity culture kicks in. Expertly synced and edited, it’s truly something to behold.

And let’s face it: it’s both hilarious and perverse watching Mariah Carey frolicking in the show while Marilyn Manson preaches, “It’s not your fault that you’re always wrong / The weak ones are there to justify the strong.” Plus his fascist cabaret goose-stepping is in time with the beat as Carey delivers the saccharine-assed chorus.

We’re hoping this will start a trend of holiday mashups that continue to make holidays lively. How far away are we from “O Holy Night” being stirred into Rob Zombie’s “Dragula”? Frankly, we’re just wondering how long will it be until some next-gen maniac adopts the name “Mariah Manson” and starts lowering Heaven in their own special, heinous way. Check out the track below and have fun torturing your grandparents with it this holiday season. Or find someone to meet under the mistletoe with the thickest forked tongue you’ve ever seen and turn it up. Send us the Instagram links.

Marilyn Manson will be playing Cyndi Lauper’s holiday benefit concert Dec. 10. He’ll be joining a number of other musical guests for the show with proceeds going towards Lauper’s True Colors United organization. Lauper’s organization focuses on ending homelessness for LGBTQ+ youth and more information is available here.

Manson will also be heading out with with Ozzy Osbourne on the latter’s rescheduled North American tour. Dates kick off in May 2020 with a full list below and tickets here.
