Did Mark Hoppus, Vampire Weekend inspire P!ATD’s next album's title?

Following a six-year wait since Modern Vampires of the City, Vampire Weekend have announced that they are coming back with a new album. Additionally, the band say that they will be releasing two songs every month for three months, starting next week, to prepare for the full 18-track album drop.

However, Vampire Weekend have decided not to release the name of their forthcoming album. Much like Frank Iero, the band are only teasing the album’s acronym, FOTB. With this tease, many fans and artists have taken to social media to guess what the acronym stands for, even blink-182’s Mark Hoppus.

In typical Hoppus fashion, the blink bassist made a joke directed toward Panic! At The Disco. After Pitchfork asked their audience what they think the forthcoming Vampire Weekend album is named, Hoppus quoted the tweet with, “Fanic Ot The Bisco.”

To make matters even better, Hoppus’ tweet caught Panic! At The Disco’s eye. The band then quoted Hoppus’ tweet, jokingly suggesting that his guess could wind up being Panic!’s next album title.

Of course, we don’t actually think “Fanic Ot The Bisco” will end up being the band’s next album. However, we can dream.
