“It never was going to be [R-rated],” Feige said. “Somebody writes, ‘I hear it’s R-rated!’ And then everybody writes it up.”

It’s good to know that more audiences will be able to see the long-awaited film about the Avengers character.

As far as other news for the film, many details are under wraps and little is known. We know that the film will star Scarlett Johansson as the titular character. The rest of the cast remains unknown. Also, we don’t know if any other Avengers characters will be in the film.

The Black Widow has been portrayed by Johansson many times before in the Marvel cinematic universe. She played the character in The Avengers, Iron Man 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: Winter Soldier and upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, which will be released on May 4, 2018.

We previously reported that Jac Schaeffer is writing the script for the Black Widow movie and it’s been reported that Cait Shortland will direct the movie.

Before his death, Marvel icon Stan Lee talked about his desire to have a stand-alone movie about the character.

“One day there will be a Black Widow movie,” Lee said. It looks like his dreams are finally coming true with this film.

There is no release date for the film.
