Marvel, Hulu to create multiple adult animated TV shows

Marvel has just teamed up with Hulu to create four new adult-centric, animated TV shows. The comedic shows will be based on different popular Marvel characters. Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Hit-Monkey, and Tigra and Dazzler have all been green-lit according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Additionally, all of the characters in the aforementioned shows will also take part in a mash-up special called The Offenders.

Howard the Duck will likely follow its comic book of the same name. However, this won’t be the first time Howard has made his was to the screen. Back in 1986, George Lucas made a live action remake of the tale. Check out the original trailer below.

As for the other series, M.O.D.O.K. will center on the 1994 Iron Man supervillain. Hit-Monkey will will also be based on its comic of the same name, which focuses on an assassin monkey. Finally, Tigra and Dazzler takes characters from separate comics and joins them together. Tigra hails from The Cat while Dazzler is associated with the X-Men.

“A giant head. A monkey. A tiger lady and a disco queen. And the duck. Brought together because no one else could but Marvel Television on Hulu,” executive producer Jeph Loeb says in a story with Marvel. “We have such tremendous talent bringing amazing adult animation that’s fun, fresh and fantastic. We’re so excited for what’s to come.”
