Mastodon unveil the second single from their upcoming album—listen

Mastodon have wasted no time releasing another track off of their forthcoming LP Emperor Of Sand.

The Atlanta rockers debuted their initial single “Sultan's Curse” just one week ago, which stayed true to their evolving progressive brand of metal. However, their newest song represents a change of pace.

“Show Yourself” is a much more gentle tune by Mastodon standards, featuring less strained vocals and more simple musical composition. Nevertheless, it contains a towering guitar solo and a chorus that you can sing aloud to, allowing their music to seem more accessible than ever.

Emperor Of Sand is due out on March 31, and was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who's worked with some of the top artists in the world including Korn, Rage Against The Machine, and Pearl Jam. This will be his second time working with Mastodon, as he also produced thier 2009 record Crack The Skye.
