Matt Greiner (August Burns Red) to launch drum company

August Burns Red’s drummer, Matt Greiner, has teamed up with drum builder Kaleb Kilmer to form the Greiner & Kilmer Drum Company.

The duo’s first designs will combine Greiner’s passion and Kilmer’s drum building skills to create five unique series of handcrafted snare drums.

Each series–Atlas, Grandfather, 1909, Wild Horse and Pioneer–will be constructed from either stave or segmented shells and all of them will have a satin finish.

“The instruments we are building are as different from other drums as they are from each other,” Greiner says. “Yet every Greiner & Kilmer snare drum is designed and built to provide the sound and performance that meets the needs modern drummers–whether they’re used as everyday workhorses on the road or for special occasions in the studio.”
