It looks like some Scream fans’ dreams are officially coming true.

Matthew Lillard is finally back with his Scream co-stars, but the reunion is probably not for the reason you might be thinking.

Lillard has openly expressed his desire to return to the Scream franchise. In an interview with TooFab, Lillard made it known he is available and eager to appear in a new film.

“Yes, yes, I’m available, yes, yes,” he said. “There’s nobody that wouldn’t want to come back and reprise a role they got to do when they were a boy and be able to do something different as a man would be exciting. You just don’t get that opportunity often.”

Although Stu Macher technically died at the end of the film, Lillard managed to make a few sneaky cameos in other Scream films. Some fans even theorize that Stu Macher isn’t actually dead, further adding to speculation that Lillard may return for the highly-anticipated Scream 5.

Now, it looks like Lillard is finally back with his Scream co-stars, but it’s not what you think. Lillard, along with Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy and writer Kevin Williamson, are reuniting for a special virtual event.

According to Variety, the cast members are taking part in a virtual Scream Q&A that is benefitting the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC), I Have a Dream Foundation in Los Angeles and the East Los Angeles Women’s Center.

For the virtual Looped Live event, a moderator will be asking fan-submitted questions live to the actors. Additionally, Scream fans have the chance to meet their favorite cast members after the livestream for a live one-on-one video call. These VIP virtual meet and greets include a digital photo op and a recording of the video chat to rewatch forever.

The rare Scream reunion is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 6 P.M. ET and tickets are available here. General tickets are $20 and tickets for the virtual meet and greets are $100 each.

It’s possible the Scream reunion may even reveal a few secrets about Scream 5. Filming for the movie is currently underway in North Carolina after facing various coronavirus delays. Last month, fans got their first glimpse of the new film along with Courteney Cox back as Gale Weathers.

Cox joins Arquette and Campbell as the original cast members in Scream 5. As well, plenty of other actors are involved in the upcoming film. Among them are You star Jenna Ortega and Wallows frontman and 13 Reasons Why actor Dylan Minnette. As well, actress Marley Shelton, who first appeared as Deputy Judy Hicks in Scream 4is back for Scream 5.

So far, not many details about Scream 5 have been revealed. However, RJ Torbert recently dropped a major hint about the return of Ghostface.

“There’s been a rumor going around that the ultra-white mask is involved,” Torbert said. “What I will tell you is that the killer, the main killer, will not have the ultra-white mask. There’s something else involved, and it’s not the white mask!”

Tobert’s mention of “the main killer” is sparking some theories that Scream 5 may include more than one Ghostface. This wouldn’t be surprising seeing as the Scream franchise has incorporated multiple killers in the past.

Could Matthew Lillard end up being one of the multiple Ghostface killers? We will have to wait and see when Scream 5 premieres on Jan. 14, 2022.
