Matty Healy wants to produce Harry Styles, but he’s “defo blocked”

Matty Healy’s relationship with ex-One Direction member Harry Styles is undoubtedly an interesting one. However, just this afternoon Healy tweeted into the void about a potential collaboration with the pop star.

Despite hopeful fans, it appears that Healy might have a hard time convincing Styles of his brilliant idea. According to Healy’s tweets, he may actually be blocked by Styles. (This might be just us, but we think Healy making out with a cardboard cutout of Styles probably freaked him out a little.)

Hey @Harry_Styles me and George really wanna produce your next album hmu if you wanna it’s cool if not tho I know you’re like super busy etc love!!!!!,” Healy tweets.

Just before mentioning Styles in the tweet above, Healy says that he might need a different method of contact.

Additionally, according to NME, Healy had already tried to collaborate with the pop star back when he was involved with One Direction. Apparently, the band “didn’t seem to be actually that interested” in co-writing with Healy.

All things considered, things aren’t looking too good for their collab, but we remain hopeful.

However, if things don’t work out between Healy and Styles, there is still hope for a killer collaboration between the 1975’s frontman and Ariana Grande.

Just last week, Healy told the Times Of India that he would love to collaborate with the genius behind “thank u, next.”

“Yeah, I would love to [collaborate],” Healy says. “She has such an amazing voice.”

Before sharing his dream of working with Grande, Healy covered “thank u, next” on BBC Radio 1. You can check out the 1975’s cover below.
