Matty Healy foreshadowed ‘A Brief Inquiry’ in previous the 1975 cover art

The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has made a point about one of the band’s cover artwork that makes us wonder how we’ve never noticed it before.

The track in question is the 1975’s cover of Sade’s 2000 track “By Your Side.”

The cover art for the track looks like some kind of shrine. It’s a table covered in candles, flowers, books and more.

However, one thing we didn’t notice—Healy is actually in the photo. If you look closely on the right side, you see him looking down at his phone.

Healy pointed this out to a fan who tweeted the song. He added that the photo is foreshadowing the theme behind the band’s latest album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.

Healy’s had some other pretty big ideas as of lately besides just discussing theories about his own band with fans online. He recently asked fans on Twitter if they’d be interested if the 1975 and other artists put on a three-night festival in the U.K.

Of course, the reception for the possibility of a festival was nothing short of positive. Additionally, even some bands expressed interest in being a part of it, including Wolf Alice, Hoodie Allen and Circa Waves.

Also recently, Healy sent the 1975 fandom into a frenzy by potentially revealing the Music For Cars artwork.

Matty tweeted the full ‘Music for Cars’ art he said we’d never see from r/the1975

However, some fans also speculate that when the band go to release their forthcoming fourth record, Notes On A Conditional Form, they will release Music For Cars using the “final” artwork in a box set.
