Max Bemis, Kenny Vasoli, more temporarily join Motion City Soundtrack in Boston

With Motion City Soundtrack frontman Justin Pierre struck down with a nasty throat virus rendering him unable to speak, the rest of the band (including Pierre on guitar) soldiered on through last night's set in Boston with a bevy of guest vocalists, dubbing themselves “Motion Sort-Of Soundtrack.” Among the fill-in singers were Say Anything's Max Bemis (on the band's cover of Nine Inch Nails' “Head Like A Hole”), Kenny Vasoli of the Starting Line/Person L (who sang “My Favorite Accident,” “The Future Freaks Me Out” and others) and virtually every member of Saves The Day, including drummer Claudio Rivera (“Worker Bee,” “Better Open The Door”), guitarist Arun Bali (“Disappear”) and frontman Chris Conley (“Last Night,” “Hold Me Down”). You can see a handful of video clips from the special evening below. The band's current tour with Say Anything, Saves The Day and A Great Big Pile Of Leaves continues tonight in New York City, possibly with revolving-door microphone duties continuing (depending on Pierre's recovery process).
