1. Memphis May Fire, Norma Jean and more announced for Playing With Fire Festival

Playing With Fire Festival announced a stacked lineup this morning including bands such as Memphis May Fire, Norma Jean, Fire From The Gods, Davey Suicide and more. Based in Fort Worth, Texas this all-ages festival takes place in early October and you can purchase tickets for the event here. Check out the artists announcement video below!

 
 

2. Life Lessons release “Attention To Detail” off upcoming EP

Pop-punk prodigies Life Lessons released official audio for a killer track off their upcoming EP Best When In Motion, set to release next month via Triple Crown /  You Did This Records. “Attention To Detail” is quite the banger, so be sure to add it to your Spotify playlist and put this bad boy on repeat.

 
 

3. Imagine Dragons release acoustic EP

Grammy-award winning band Imagine Dragons release LIVE AT ALLSAINTS STUDIOS acoustic EP today, available digitally on all participating retailers such as Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes. The EP includes acoustic tracks from the band's latest release, Evolve, which has now earned a Gold certification from the RIAA. 4. Nothing More release “Just Say When” from upcoming album

Alternative rockers Nothing More released the official audio track for their song “Just Say When” off their upcoming album The Stories We Tell Ourselves. This 18-track album is available for pre-order on iTunes or from the band's Pledge Music page here.

5. The Flaming Lips drop new video 

The Flaming Lips release a new music video today for their song “Pompeii Am Götterdämmerung (Live)” which was filmed live at multiple shows and directed by Wayne Coyne and George Salisbury. The song comes from the band's 2006 release At War With The Mystics and is considered to be a fan favorite from the album. You can catch The Flaming Lips on tour with Mac DeMarco starting mid-September. You can purchase tickets here. 

 

6. IRATION announce “Intergalatic Tour”

Alternative-rock band IRATION have announced their fall headling tour featuring support from Fortunate Youth and Through The Roots. The “Intergalatic Tour” kicks off October 24 in Lawrence, Kansas and will travel through Columbus, Nashville, Phoenix and more before concluding in San Diego on November 18. Tickets for the tour went on sale today, and you can purchase them here. 

 
 
 

7. SikTh share video for “Cracks Of Light”

SikTh have released a video for their song “Cracks Of Light” coming off their recent album The Future in Whose Eyes?—a track featuring guest vocals from Periphery singer Spencer Sotelo. When speaking about the track, vocalist Mikee Goodman says: 

“I have had a lot of positive messages from fans thanking me for the lyrics in this song actually. Cracks of Light is a dark song but it does have a positive message. Inspiration comes from my own battles with depression and trying to find light through the darkness. Some days people have to go through such sadness to find the happiness. People learn a lot more about themselves in certain situations like this.”
